This past summer the Association of Medical Illustrators met in Rochester NY for the annual conference, which was co-hosted by the Rochester Institute of Technology, or RIT, program–the newest addition to graduate-level training in the field. My guest on this episode is a graduate of the RIT program, who has since gone on to have an immensely successful career and influence on medical animation.
I first discovered Gary Welch when I found a powerful cell texture generator he made in Substance Designer and has given away for free–CellGen. Gary has worked with some of the biggest companies in medical animation over the past few decades–3FX, Mad Microbe, and now Real Chemistry. Please enjoy this conversation with Gary Welch!
